What's Cooking At Google?

With hundreds of Google employees becoming millionaires as a result of the IPO last year you can hardly blame people for deciding to leave and "do their own thing."

A contrast in the type of employees leaving can be found with the departure of Wayne Rosing, former vice president of engineering, who is leaving to take up an unpaid academic role at the University of California at Davis, where he will focus on his lifelong passion for astronomy.

And then there is the departure of Charlie Ayers, Google's executive chef (also known as "Chef Charlie") who was previously a chef for the Grateful Dead.

Having cooked for Google's employers for the last 5 years Charlie has also profited from Google's stock and is reported to be opening his own restaurant.
